Steve was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. In his youth he learned to sail, and in later years spent many days racing and cruising sailboats on the Great Lakes with his family. He and his family would vacation annually on the East Coast of Florida, and in fact, Steve learned to swim while on his first trip south. These happy memories stayed with him his entire adult life and he knew someday he would return to this area to live.
Professionally, Steve entered the world of banking in 1966 as a summer intern working his way through various departments of a community bank, rising through the ranks, and eventually becoming President at an early age. Several years after this financial institution was acquired by a large regional bank, he moved on to several other executive positions with both large and small financial institutions across the Mid-West.
In 1999 he acted on his love for Florida and joined Fifth Third Bank in Naples as the Senior Vice President & Consumer Loan Statewide Manager (mortgages). Under his leadership, the department grew from one mortgage originator to 17 originators.
In 2004 he joined his banking colleague and friend, Chris Ferrer, and co-founded the Community Bank of Cape Coral, where Steve later became CEO for several years.
After 45 years in banking, Steve retired in late 2009. Retirement doesn’t exactly describe Steve as he is very active. He quickly began missing the "hunt" for action, and made the decision to obtain his Real Estate license in early 2010. He is very pleased to have joined Miloff Aubuchon Realty Group, a division of The Aubuchon Team of Companies. Steve’s focus is to help you find the right residential or commercial property.
